Teaching Associate ~ Mathematics, Physics and STEAM
Mikayla joined the Voyagers’ team in 2016 and is thrilled to be a part of the community. She teaches high school and middle school mathematics as well as STEAM across all grade levels. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Mathematics from Ocean County College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Mikayla approaches many students’ least favorite subject, math, with enthusiasm, in hopes of encouraging them to think outside the box. She aims to pinpoint each student’s area of difficulty in order help them to overcome their individual challenges and walk away with a balanced and adaptable understanding of all things STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Her mission is to inspire children to experience math and the sciences in an exciting and innovative way.
