Mini Maker Camp

Engineering Challenge – August 24th, 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Attendees will be faced with a series of challenges, from building small structures to collecting objects using only the materials provided. Each engineering challenges will need to be solved in small groups to move on to the next. These activities are designed to foster cooperation, creativity, and out of the box thinking. Join us for a morning of fun and problem-solving. We recommend ages 8-14.

Voyagers’ By Night Series

Bonsai Magic-August 23, 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Attention plant lovers! Learn everything you want to know about this exciting hobby and begin to grow your own Bonsai with advice from our resident expert, Travers Martin. Travers has helped the students in our Outdoor School, ages 11-14, care for a collection of over 15 bonsai trees during the last school year. These were proudly displayed in our classroom from October to June. You can also talk to Travers about designing a working hydroponics system or landscaping a natural playground. We recommend ages 8-14.

For admittance, remember to bring a donation of a nonperishable food item or cash donation, which will be given to the Monmouth County Food Bank in Neptune.
